The facilities

IPC manufactures food and feed products using state-of-the-art large-scale production facilities which can be run in four-shift operation. Whether for your product launch or as an external production facility – we are flexible when it comes to scheduling your production requirements.

Facility 1

This facility can be used with equal success to manufacture fine chemicals and cosmetic products or detergents. Alongside fluid bed granulation, compact granules and pellets can also be produced. Coarse raw materials are homogenized prior to granulation using a sieve in order to guarantee a uniform particle size.

  • Drying
  • Wet granulation
  • Fluid bed agglomeration
  • Fluid bed coating
  • Pelletizing
Facility 2

The manufacture of food and feed products makes particularly stringent demands on hygiene, which is strictly monitored by regular inspections. The entire production process is seamlessly documented in order to permit traceability.
Alongside granulation processes, the focus here is also on the production of pellets for food supplements or as feed supplements for animal use. In Addition to that, we are able to offer scope for encapsulation of products with waxes or other hot melts.

Facility 3

An optimized process sequence and production in three-shift operation permits the economical manufacture of large production batches to a uniform standard of quality.

  • Fluid bed coating
  • Pelletizing
Facility 4

The wide-ranging different possibilities on offer for the manufacture of pellets, granules and encapsulated products can also be implemented for the most stringent requirements such as food supplements and pharmaceutical products. This is of particularly decisive importance in the case of multifunctional products and high-quality films which can only be successfully supplied using Wurster technology.

Flavours and other odour-intensive products can be processed by providing efficient exhaust air purification without environmental immissions.

Facility 5

Pharmaceutical excipients and actives as well as high quality food additives in form of solutions, dispersions or emulsions can be dried carefully und applied for various purposes due to their compact pellet form (particle size: 100 µm up to some mm). Melts can also be processed to free-flowing powders or if used as coating provide products with specific release characteristics.

  • Continuous spray granulation
  • Throughput 30-100 kg/h

Facility 6

Continuous agglomeration of powders to improve flowability and solubility is becoming more and more important, also for bulk articles. By reaching a throughput of up to 600 kg/h a cost-effective production is possible even at high hygienic standards. Furthermore, solutions, emulsions or dispersions can be dried to granules and pellets irrespective of the particle size (from 100 µm up to several mm). Compared to standard spray drying spray granulation includes particle upgrowth providing other morphological characteristics of the product.

  • Continuous agglomeration: throughput 600 kg/h
  • Continuous spraygranulation: throughput 100–200 kg/h
  • Continuous spraycooling: throughput 350 kg/h
